Windows 10 Pro x64 desktop

Works great. All I had to do was plug it in to a USB 3 port, and it worked without the need to install drivers (though you should still download the latest from the web site).

On my previous NIC (an older pci-e Intel), I was getting inconsistent download speeds around only 20-50 Mbps on my best day when we subscribe to 300 Mbps from our ISP. I had stutter from 1080p videos on Youtube, and my LAN speeds weren't much better.

With the Startech adapter, my speeds tested just above 200 Mbps and my LAN speeds followed. I did another test on Steam today, and downloaded a game around 2 GB in size. The speeds peaked at 37 MB/s and averaged around 29 MB/s. Still not quite the promised speeds from our ISP, but that's far more reasonable - and it's all from a little usb adapter. Color me impressed.

I love this adapter. It makes getting online at work a breeze. It is compact, sleek, and works perfect. I would definitely recommend it. I used a different product before and it was terrible. I almost gave up on adapters until a friend of mine let me borrow his Startech. I immediately ordered mine after using his for a day.
