Progresso Vegetable Classics Soup, Lentil, 19-Ounce Cans (Pack of 6) (Grocery)

Ok, I had to limit this to my all-time favorite "canned" soup just in case my wife reads this review. But in reality it just about my favorite. Drop me off in a mountain cabin with a typewriter and case of Progresso Lentil Soup and when you pick me up a month later I'll still have the typewriter!

quick pasta e fagioli soup. It is loaded with mac and beans, neither of which are mushy. The beans are creamy and tasty and the pasta is the short, tubular ditalini. It does need some help, I think, so I usually add some of the following: frozen corn and or peas, one half small can of tomato sauce (preferably Muir Glen or Del Monte), one TBSP Chili Powder (preferablySpice Hunter brand) and one tsp. ground cumin. Just before serving, add grated Parmesan cheese to taste and a tsp. of EVOO
