I've been using this soap for four months without any issues until now. The last bar I received has actually caused scratches on my skin. There is a slight grit in the soap, but that was never an issue, I actually really liked the gentle exfoliation. This most recent bar however, has pieces of something in it that are so sharp, I ended up with fairly prominent scratches across my body and face. It took a few washes before the issue began but it seems that bits of a reddish-orange, sharp substance, which I've not seen in previous bars, began to be exposed in the soap. I cannot identify the substance but it's not likely something that should be used in soap. I assume this came from a defective batch, perhaps some unknown material made its way into the particular batch of soap that this bar came from. I've contacted the company directly regarding this issue and they have not even responded with a courtesy email to notify me that they acknowledge my correspondence.
