 | Author: John C. Kendall (Canton .. | The only item in this kit that I'm still using is the spacers. The tensioner has a TON of play (side to side) which allows the chain to pop off. The pulley gear has a bushing instead of bearing so it wore out after a few hours. The actual gear must be a low quality plastic too because the teeth were visibly worn as well. The two cogs are ok but just low quality very thin stamped metal; these will bite into your hub after a while.I switched out the gears with a Surly and replaced the tensioner with the Godspeed version (which has NO side-side play and has a bearing based pulley). Now my setup rocks; been using it flawlessly since 7/2011 many hours per week. | 12 |
