It was also the first Prophet album to feature former Surgin' frontman Russell Arcara on vocals.Prophet stands in that thin line between AOR and hair metal with similar bands like Giant, Bad English, and Damn Yankees. They have some of the same bombastic energy and hook-heavy sound as the hair metal bands, but also take a polished, melodic, keyboard-laden approach that's fairly radio-friendly. The vocals are something of an acquired taste, but I think Russell Arcara's voice suits Prophet's sound.I wouldn't call this album essential by any means, but if you're into the late 80's/early 90's melodic rock, AOR and/or hair metal sound, chances are you'll enjoy Cycle of the Moon.
