 | Author: Wayne Klein (My Little B.. | An exceptional value if you have only a few (or none) of the Alice Cooper albums on CD, this set uses a mix of the Japanese remasters (which were different from the brighter sounding "Life and Times" box from Rhino that was done by Dan Hersch and Bill Inglot). On the whole, the set sounds really, really good but keep in mind some compression was added to those Japanese remasters and, if you're bothered by loudness, this may not be the set for you. Curiously, there are exceptions to the rule here for the Japanese remasters so the volume isn't consistent throughout the whole set which makes it an issue if you rip these raw to your server. You may want to do some volume adjusting with some of the titles.The releases up to "Welcome To My Nightmare" and "Pretties For you" (although "On The Inside" appears to also use the Japanese remasters as far as I can tell) appear to be Japanese remasters.
