deborah lippmann Crème Nail Lacquer, My Old Flame (Health and Beauty)

This polish is the most classic shade of red out there, and I have unsuccessfully tried to find another! No one else makes a red such as this one. It is a true blue-red with no orange. It lasts on your nails for a long time. The only drawback is the price. No polish should be this expensive! However, this is my fourth bottle of it, and I will continue to buy it as long as she makes it. I just realized that I should probably tell you I am referring to the color "My Old Flame." I have tried a couple of her polishes besides this one, but this one takes the cake.

I was excited to try Deborah Lippman polish, as she seems to have colors that no one else does. This was one of those colors - it's like Vamp only a little more red, and SO SATURATED in color. It is truly unique, hard to appreciate via an internet picture. However, the quality of her polish is only so-so. Quite frankly, I find that OPI and Sally Hansen have polishes that wear much longer (and I know how to prolong a manicure), which is disappointing considering how expensive Lippman products are. Perhaps having such super-saturated colors impacts the polish and makes it chip easily? I am glad I was able to purchase this product at a discount through Amazon's network of sellers. That being said, I would give this color six stars if I could.

I have medium/tan skin, with yellow undertones (NC-35); and over the years, I have really struggled to find a decent nude shade that doesn't completely wash me out, make my hands look sickly, or simply make my fingernails blend into my fingers for a horrible fingernail-less look, and I couldn't be happier with the Deborah Lippman's shade "Fashion"! I finally found a beautiful pinky, beige nude color that looks extremely flattering on my tanned Asian skin. If you are a medium to tanned lady who is looking for a nude nail polish color that is simultaneously elegant, cute, and professional looking at the same time, look no further! :) I love this color, and have already purchased backups just in case.In terms of longevity, it honestly works like a standard quality nail polish. Very solid performance, with chipping at around the one week mark. In this case, you'd honestly be paying for the unique, beautiful shade, and not so much the formulation.
