i have had this radio in my tractor at work since january and it is a fantastic radio, so quiet you don't even know its on most of the time, i use it with a 3ft wilson fiberglass antenna and never had any problems, as for the weather band i have never had any problems receiving weather broadcasts so i don't know what the other guy is talking about, also the illuminated face comes in handy at night, which is mostly when i drive, i'm planning on buying a second one for my car
