The biggest problem with trigger pull scales is user inconsistency. With this scale, I have noticed that if I slowly pull directly to the rear, I will get consistent readings that are very close to what the manufacturer of the firearm claims. As with any scale, I suggest taking three or four readings to make sure of the result. For what it's worth, I bought this model to determine if a deburring/polishing job on a 1911 would make any difference in trigger pull. In the case of my $1,000 1911s, it did not. Your mileage may vary.
