Helpful, but could be more inclusive, May 27 2010

Cooking for Baby Binding: Hardcover Publisher: Simon & Schuster Publish Date: 2009/02/03 Synopsis: Combines nutritional guidelines and preparation instructions for preparing healthy, organic baby foods, in a volume of eighty recipes that makes recommendations for introducing cereal grains, simple vegetables, and fruit purees to infants and toddlers
As a newbie to making my own baby food I have found this to be very helpful. There is more information in it than just recipes and the illustrations are great. The only piece I find lacking is sometimes certain food items (eg. broccoli) are not featured except in chapters for older children (DD is 6 months) and I am sure I could introduce it in a different form at an earlier stage and that is not provided. Luckily I can figure most stuff out on my own with the basics this book has provided. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This book is amazing! The recipes are simple. The pictures are enticing. And the food is actually good! My daughter loves each and every one of them (and so does my hubby!).I would definitely recommend this to all moms.

I love this cookbook not only because of its gorgeous illustrations, the recipes are simple and creative. The writing is straightforward; very easy to understand. It does not overload you with information yet it has everything I need to feel comfortable and confident to start this new phase of my baby's development. I also love her nutritional facts on the side of each recipe as well as great suggestions to make introducing solids more enjoyable for my baby and for me. I strongly recommend this book for 1st time moms.
