Plant Stand Review, July 29, 2006

Nice decorative plant stand. It went together easily and looks fine. I had to handle it carefully when putting it together as it appeared the wood posts could split - this is based on noticing a single crack in one post.

I somehow misinterpreted the dividers as being white, as in fake ivory. Instead they are poor fitting (diameter too large for spindles)bright gold plastic, as are the two tacky emblems. My fault. Please note that the base is not made out of wood, but is instead constructed of pressboard with a decal covering it. For other potential purchasers, the height is 27 1/8, which was left out of the description, and is unavailable, as is the company, by e-mail and phone. I have previously purchased a wood bed and frame from this company, and had the same communication problems as in the present purchase, although the bed ended up being just fine, other than the inaccurate color in the photograph and the lack of dimensions in the description, the same as in this item. Complaints to Amazon did no good, and evidently, still do not, as the company still operates in a vacuum as far as customer service and product descriptions go. Amazon obviously doesn't care, as there is no evidence of...

Not Bombay-type quality, but it'll do. To be honest, unless this is available with free shipping, it's really not worth the effort. To hide in a corner, it's sufficient but rickety.
