I gave this 5 stars because it is doing what I needed. It's a very cheap pair of headphones that normally sell for $10 or $12 at the store. I got it for $5 and didn't pay shipping or tax - that's a plus! The headphones offer decent sound - don't expect Klipsch or BeatsAudio sound out of these. They perform well for the price. If you just need a cheap pair of headphones to keep in your bag or to take to the gym - these are good. It won't matter if they are damaged because you just need to spend another $5 to get a good pair. I think it's pointless to pay more than $50 or more from companies like Sony, BeatsAudio, Sennheiser, Klipsch, etc. If you want a good pair of audiophile headphones then get a good studio style headphone - like on-the-ear or over-the-ear since they will block external sound out better than regular earbuds. They are bigger than normal ear buds, but dont let that fool you. They rest in your ears perfectly. Great product, I definitely recommend.
