 | Author: Eric (Charlotte) | I don't normally use cloth pads, I love using hard pads. But, I wanted something to cover more space on my desk, since my desk is aging, and it was getting pretty unattractive and beat up around the keyboard area too. So I decided on getting the SPEED version of this pad, as it seems to be the most like a hard pad in terms of softness and smoothness.I'm actually really liking the feel of it. It feels like a perfect combo of the benefits of a hard pad and cloth pad. Very smooth with just enough friction for control. I will say though that for long gaming sessions it was a little uncomfortable. I use a hybrid of pretty much all grips, so my palm rests on the mat to stabilize my mouse, and that became a little much after a while. I did try to see how much different my performance was impacted by switching back to my old mouse pad to give an honest comparison, and I can honestly say that my old pad can't give me the precision and smoothness that this mat can. Though my old mat has a gelled wrist pad so it is way more comfortable, so I end up using it when I'm playing Civ or X-COM.Pros:-Noticeable change in control. Very smooth and offers a very good experience...Read more | 9 |
