Sex and the City Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Jason Lewis, Mario Cantone Movie Titles: Sex and the City Synopsis: Sex and the City is coming to the big screen in a feature film adaptation of the hit HBO television series
Sex And the City: The Movie comes with a viewing trailer for the season dvds, a Get Smart movie trailer, and what looks like a Nights in Rodanthe trailer. Sarah Jessica’s movie character of Carrie Bradshaw has everything a woman her age could want. Carrie Bradshaw is even featured in a magazine spread celebrating her ehgagement. However, her fiancée Mr. Big gets a crazy case of cold feet when one of Carrie’s friends basically implies that he better be careful about getting married. Meanwhile, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) is living with a man who is both cute and successful. However, she is a little out of her element temporarily because she is not living the normal fast paced lifestyle that usually accompanies an ambitious PR professional of her caliber. Please understand that I acknowledge that other actors/actresses also have contributed to this movie. I was just relaying what immediately comes to my mind when I recall this movie as I type.

When SATC ended in 2004, I, like everyone else felt the insane need for a little more Carrie, a little more Samantha, a little more Charlotte and a little more Miranda. 2008, Michael Patrick King and the cast and crew of Sex and the City delivered a film that not only filled in the gap of four years away from our screens, they told us the story of what came next. The film itself is LONG, surprisingly long, and with this extended edition we're talking about an extra 10-15 minutes of unseen footage. The additional footage makes perfect sense for hardcore fans, these additional scenes are not only at times funny but they extend an offering of extra "hope" and sometimes "explanation" of scenes that were previously concluded. The TWO disc special edition is a perfect trade in for anyone who rushed out to purchase the film when it released in stores. On your second disc you will find an amazing conversation between show Creator Michael Patrick King and...Read more
I can't figure out how this movie gets high marks, if there's some kind of divide between fans of the original show or what, but this definitely doesn't work in comparison to the series! The characters that managed to be complex and acted with nuance even in a 30-minute format finally have room to stretch, only to end up as flat caricatures. I guess the idea was to go beyond the happy-ending finale of the show to give a "realistic" portrayal of problems that don't go away in a real relationship just because you had a great romantic scene getting together, but that didn't happen. This drivel just ruined what had been a perfectly-wrapped series with a mess not worthy of the money spent making it, the "performances" the actors created based on the truly awful script, and my time spent watching it that I can never get back! For years I had resisted seeing it because of bad reviews from fellow fans, but after missing the girls long enough and seeing positive responses here,...Read more
