First off, I have been using Microsoft Word professionally since its inception, approximately 8-14 hours a day since the days of Works. Secondly, I am on an utterly fantastic computer, so the bugs I'm experiencing are NOT my hardware. Thirdly, and I think this sums it up for all longtime Windows users: They did to Microsoft Word what they did to Windows with Windows 8. There was absolutely no reason Microsoft had to do this to such a successful and GOOD product.

Like I said, I have been using Word professionally since its inception, and have been very happy with each successive incarnation...until now. Basically, what has been done with this new Office Professional is they've turned the professional standard for writers everywhere (my profession, which I've been doing full time for the last 20 years) into a marketing technique to collect email addresses, push products and Cloud services, and force people to play by Microsoft's rules...for more money and less...Read more

I purchased two of the MS Office Pro 2013 Key Cards for two separate laptop computers. One installed fine and activated normally. The other gave me the message in the attached image - the key had already been used to install Office. I won't use this vendor again.I should mention, I did do the painful telephone activation and was able to get the product activated.
