Garmin TOPO! 2004 Full Coverage U.S. Map microSD Card (Electronics)

I am a geocacher who relies heavily on my trusty Garmin eTrex Vista HCx and Topo maps. In the past, I've had to install the Topo maps on my computer and transfer partial chunks of the map to the eTrex as needed, based on limitations of map and microSD card size in the eTrex firmware.When this map arrived, I was surprised to find that it was a 4 GB microSD card featuring the entire map. As I feared, it didn't work at all in my eTrex. I nearly returned it in frustration before considering the possibility that a firmware update had been made available. Behold ... the latest eTrex firmware added support for larger cards and maps! After a quick update, the map is functioning perfectly.There's not much need to update topographical annually, so a preloaded card seems like the perfect option.
