I love Steiner binoculars. I own the auto focus military pair but wanted something a little more powerful and bough the 10x42mm. They need to be held a little more solid than say the 8x42 but the extra strength allows you to look out a little further with better clarity. The eye hoods hold out light and the protective covers also keep stuff out that could dirty the lenses. These are very tough binoculars that are clear and allow extra light in during those low light evenings of scanning for game.
