does a great job of keeping the hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold.per the other reviews, it is as big as his other customers have stated.After a week of using my growler I did not like the wide mouth lid.I purchased the wide mouth lid with a smaller opening from Humangear. the new lid fits perfect with no leaks and much easier to use.if you can get over the fact that this growler is the size of a small fire extinguisherit is a great product. I would recommend this to others.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. He was so excited. He is a police officer and has carried a Nalgene bottle for over 3 years, so to have this big of a bottle for water on the job made him very happy. He loved it on day one. On day two he came home so disappointed because in the normal everyday use, the very cheaply made plastic cap on it cracked making the bottle completely useless. For such a nice stainless steel bottle we were floored that the plastic top is so thin and cheaply made compared with his old stand by Nalgene bottle. Very disappointed in this product and hope to find something else similar that is better made!!!
