We own two of these small composters. We had our first for a couple of years and decided that it would be helpful to have a second so that one could be cooking while we are filling the second. Recently the first one developed a crack in the latch. Our second composter has a steel latch that is a great improvement over the first composter's latch. I read through the web site and found that the unit was still under warrantee. It was. So I called them up to see if I could get a replacement latch. They sent me a replacement door with the latch since they are kind of integral. I installed it within the half an hour of receiving it and now the first unit works as well as the second unit.They both work as advertised and they manage to take care of all our vegetable waste. I really appreciate the ease with which the new vegetable matter mixes with the old by rolling the unit.

10 years ago, I ordered my first Envirocycle composter. I LOVED IT!!!! Within a month, I ordered two more. 10 years and a zillion PERFECT BATCHES of compost later, one of my composters suddenly no longer latch securely enough to rotate. Because of the weight of the compost against the door, I found I had to tie the drum each time I rotated. As you can imagine this quickly became a nuisance. I wrote to the company and asked if they could help me figure out a remedy, thinking maybe this had happened to another customer. The same day, they wrote back, APOLOGIZED for the inconvenience this had caused me and...................are you sitting down????..................sent me a brand new composter free of charge!!!!! I almost had a heart attack! I repeat, my three composters are TEN years old (BTW: They look brand new)........... and the company sent me a new one.....free of charge!!!!!
