Remember to screw on the back!, January 13, 2011

This is a great replacement lamp for my Mitsubishi TV. It's incredibly cheaper than the OEM lamp. You can buy a couple of these for the price of the original.It fit perfectly and the quality of the picture is fantastic.COMPLAINT:My one major complaint is about the hardware. The product image shows two nice big metal screws. The actual product has two small (cheap) plastic screws. They were much flimsier than the hardware on the OEM lamp. Even worse, the heads are slotted instead of Philips. So instead of nice big fat Philips head screws, they are tiny plastic slotted screws. I unscrewed the OEM screws by touch, but the replacement screws were too small to feel, plus that doesn't really work with slotted heads. So I had to pull the TV all the way out of the cabinet and use a flashlight.I know, waaah. I shouldn't be a crybaby about the screws. But it was an unnecessary shortcut.

This product works perfectly fine. We have a 60" Mitsubishi WD-Y577. At first when we installed it, we screwed in the lamp but we did not screw on the back door cover. This is very important in installing the lamp because screwing on the door activates a switch. DON'T FORGET THAT STEP! Other than that, the picture is brighter and working great. Thanks

First, I would like to comment on both price and shipping. Outstanding!The lamp has restored the original brightness to my TV. It had been gradually getting dim and I kept adjusting the brightness. Finally it quit all together. I had to reset all the brightness controls to default and the TV works like new. Easy to replace. Anyone who can turn a screw driver can do it.
