Bought for my sons first birthday and he loves it.

Balls are a good size diameter for his hands and he is able to run it by himself (which for a 1 y/o) is nice.

The balls seem to be suspended on the sides of the track more than on the bottom so it has the effect of slowing the rolling speed and acceleration down quite a bit (If you put a small marble on the same track it races right through). The slower action speed makes it much better for younger kids.

I think it was done to prevent young kids from leaning on it and breaking the parts, but it does not snap together in every spot instead leaving some connections that are very easy to come apart (again, by design). I think this is probably good design from a durability perspective, but it does make moving it around the room / house kind of annoying.

My 10 month old grandson loved rolling the balls around. The red and blue balls make a sound when shaken. There is one clear ball that has a shiny mirror like thing in the center which moves. The four colored balls have faces on them. The clear one does not. Baby gravitated more toward the ones that made a sound. As to the tower, it fell apart every time we tried to use it. I think if we glued it together, it would work better. I put it aside and used the balls alone. If you have the Fisher-Price farm, I put the balls inside the silo and they come out the bottom if the door is open or you can store them in there with the door closed. It was entertaining.I might also mention that because they are small enough to get under things, if you use the balls on the floor they will roll everywhere and you will end up chasing them and retrieving them from under the sofa or playpen or chairs. You will get a lot of exercise and baby will enjoy watching you run around. LOL I...Read more
