Schlage F10 LAT 619 CEN Century Collection with Latitude Passage Lever, Satin Nickel (Tools & Home Improvement)

I bought 40 of these for our home we just built. They looked nice going on. Within a week, we had to go back and start tightening them back up. Out of the original 40, roughly 10 of them continuously become loose. another 5 continually have the handles drop. Again, they look nice but they are not made well. The internal workings are cheap. I can't imagine the problems we're going to have in 5, 10 years.

Same comments as other customers ... The handle is a little looseUpdate: After a few months I was unable to open the door with the key. The key would not turn anymore ! Very annoying when all the other doors are locked ...

I love the look but am very disappointed by the quality of this product. I purchased 2 of the same keyed handles and a deadbolt, took them to a reputable locksmith to have them rekeyed (so they all use the same key - as the product description said I could do) and the two handles seem so flimsy and jiggle so much I feel they're going to fall off if I pull too hard on the handle.The look of the handles are great and they installed easily (hence the 2 stars). But now they just sag down like a limp carrot. And I know the locks themselves are really just part of a social construct, as any half-decent thief can pick these locks in a matter of seconds, but when I go to lock these at night, I really don't feel very secure with them. There's just this wimpy sounding clicky feel that just doesn't give you the confidence that it would even keep out a hungry raccoon looking for a Snickers bar in your halloween stash.I used Kwikset on my previous home and they were...Read more
