5.0 out of 5 stars
For all those who did not read your instruction manual before writing your reviews, YES there is a hold function on the latest version of the iPod Shuffle. I almost did not purchase this item because of all the reviews stating there wasn't but decided the small size and convenience outweighed the lack of a Hold option. My iPod came and I instantly fell in love! The voice over function is the greatest! Within five seconds into my first song, due to habit because of my first and only previous iPod Classic, I pressed and held down the Play/Pause center button... and I all of a sudden heard a "locking" sound coming from my headphones, I thought I had discovered a secret Hold function. Thinking Apple could not be so dumb, I checked the manual... tada! there it was, clear as day "Play/ Pause -Press and hold to lock or unlock buttons" I love reviews but sometimes it pays to figure things out for yourself!
