IPAD IPOD IPHN SPKR DOCKIf you're reading these reviews, you want a holder-charger docking station and you want to get the best for your $$$.Well, I read a lot of them - and got this one. I use it on the kitchen table and it is small and out of the way. It is playing my music files as I have breakfast and read my ipad newspaper.Sound is Very Good, a little bassy for my taste, but hey, it's not a hi-fi device. It is charged to 100% until I remove it,which is a snap to do. Volume and power switches are right in front. Power switch turns the iPad on/off, too, which is convenient.The little remote works perfectly and magnetically sticks to back of iluv when not in use. I like that i can be surfing, and if a song comes on that i dont like, i can just clk the forward arrow on the remote and go to the next song, without leaving the web page.Software is o.k., and allows you to select your own music files, worldwide radio stations, weather or an alarm clock. But you may prefer your iPad...

I have evaluated the Speakers, the iLuv App, and the Remote Control separately. First, the Speakers:Speakers--------The speakers measure roughly 11" x 5" x 3.5" (L x W x H).The sound quality of the speakers is comparable to that on a set of low-end desktop speakers. Although the bass output is a bit lacking, it's entirely acceptable coming from speakers this size. The speakers do buzz a little when the volume is cranked up all the way but, again, that's almost a given on any smaller-sized speaker system. All in all, the sound quality on these speakers isn't bad.The speakers look very aesthetically pleasing (they look wicked on my nightstand!). In fact, it can be set loud enough to disturb your neighbors, although I found the best sound was in the mid range.The base is sturdy, and the angle adjusts well, so you can view and use your iPad at a comfortable angle, from close to fully upright to laying at about 45 degrees from flat. It will angle (and hold steadily) from up/down to fully sideways. Being able to set it at about 45 degrees came in particularly handy this morning when someone scanned a document sideways, and no matter what I tried to do, I couldn't get my iPad to place the PDF in a way that allowed me to read it from the correct direction.Best of all, it does come with a power cord which both charges the iPad and operates the speakers, unlike the dock I previously purchased from Apple.
