They look decent and they work.Installation tip: the flat plastic protector goes against the door and the rounded stopper goes against the door frame or wall. These look much better then the shiny brass ones that are carried locally at my hardware store. They aren't complex and they work as advertised. If you put them on a door that could open 180° you won't be able to adjust these to allow that much opening. The max angle these seem to allow is about 125°.Why not five stars? No installation instructionsNot adjustable past 125° (Not a huge deal, but I have one door I wanted to let open more then that.) | 6 |
 | Author: Allen EH (Long Island, N.. | Granted, these are simple to install once you know what you're doing, but there were no instructions or pix showing which side goes against the door and which goes against the wall. When I googled there were several amazingly unhelpful "how-to" sites that didn't tell me what I needed to know, until finally: put the adjustable side towards the wall. That said, great product. It's out of the way and doesn't project out from baseboard moldings where it's either unsightly or a hazard. One caution - my contractor told me that if you have a heavy door you might want to use two or more of these on each door. Otherwise you run the risk of damaging your sheetrock. | 8 |
