This hat looks great, stayed stiff all the way through my halloween party.
I danced with the hat hanging from the string around my neck, so the string is sturdy enough, and the felt was sturdy enough to hold it. And my dancing is kinda spastic, so that's a testimonial.
That said, it is a cheap felt hat, and I hope you're not planning to use it as your daily outdoorsman hat. It's clearly meant as a costume prop.
Fit: The head hole is kinda round, more than head-shaped. It was a little loose on the sides, and tight on the front & back. Because it's pressed felt, when I pulled it lower on my head, it lost its shape, and the brim got all warped. It's one-size-fits-most, so if your hat size is larger than 7-1/2, then expect this hat to be too small for you. When worn like a drill instructor, with the front down low, it was comfortable enough for the whole party.
For the price, I think this hat is an outstanding part of any halloween costume.
