Reviewing for husband (avid griller, non-avid amazon reviewer). He loves it! We had a smaller Char-Griller that we bought in 2010 -- it's still in use at his parents' house (never repainted or sealed, somewhat rusty, but still works like a dream), so when I saw a great price on this grill around father's day and right when we had a new deck to put it on, I went for this larger model. It was delivered in a box that is almost comical -- thin cardboard for what is CLEARLY a two-man carry (my husband had to turn it top over bottom to move it to the back door!) but no damage on the grill from shipment. My brother in law put this together by himself in about 30 minutes (he's very handy!). I was shocked at how much bigger it is than our old grill. Great value, and my husband loves it. Father's day for the win.

I use one at home, occasionally take it to small catering jobs, and use it to pre-smoke chicken for my popular roadside BBQ.Here are some complaints I've noticed that I feel I need to address in my own special and eloquent way...#1, you need to oil it and light yourself a big old fire for a while to protect it and get all the casting oil and what not out of the...Read more
