Green Lantern Vol. 1: Sinestro (The New 52)
Like Batman, Green Lantern continuity didn't change a whole lot with DC's New 52 epic relaunch, and honestly that's a good thing here. After spending the past 8 years working on Green Lantern, bringing Hal Jordan back from the dead, and placing the character right smack-dab between Batman and Superman as DC's most prominent heroes, superhero writer extraordinaire Geoff Johns is here in the driver's seat spinning a new saga for the Green Lanterns. After the War of the Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan no longer wears the ring, and now his one-time arch nemesis Sinestro is a Green Lantern once again. What develops is Sinestro and Hal winding up having to team up for a greater good, which helps make for some great storytelling here. What's disappointing though is that for super-new readers, Green Lantern somehow manages to still come off as frequently convoluted. That's the nature of the beast though, as Johns has crafted so many finely-tuned and interconnecting Green Lantern stories over...
