3M Framed Privacy Filter for Widescreen Desktop LCD/CRT Monitor (PF319W) (Personal Computers)

As a privacy filter, this does a fine job. When viewed from the side, nothing on screen is visible. However, I purchased this both for privacy and for its anti-glare properties. I had noticed that at the end of a work day my eyes were quite tired and I thought a filter might help. Unfortunately, this filter actually has a significant glare. It is much more reflective than my computer screen ever was. I have windows behind me and while I never noticed them before, now I see a constant reflection. Since the filter is easily removable, I only use it when my eyes are getting tired. Otherwise the reflection is just too annoying. Considering the price, I'm disappointed in the item.

I was reluctant to get a set of these filters due to the cost but since they were the only ones that seemed to be rated very well, I decided to go with them. I like that they are framed instead of being a sheet of film that goes on the screen because sometimes it is nice to be able to take them off easily. They block side viewing very well (you can see virtually noting at 45 degrees or greater), The clarity of the picture when viewing from the front couldn't be better. Overall these are very good quality and I highly recommend them.Do not expect any privacy filter to keep people from looking over your shoulder and seeing what is on your screen. This is an impossible thing to do without blocking your view of the screen as well. Privacy filters are only for blocking side viewing.

I have a 24" monitor and have looked for a long time for a privacy screen that would perform as advertised. I had a great one years ago for a small monitor but most all the ones I had seen recently were cheaply made; but not priced cheaply. I had no interest in a flimsy piece of plastic that you had to tape on the screen that buckled and had a very narrow area free from distortion. This 3M filter is great. It has hangers that snap on to the frame of the filter and sits on top of the monitor. It also came with the 3M removable tape but it doesn't need it. It is very secure and is free from distortion and sensitive work is hidden, just as advertised, from wandering eyes. It is well worth the money.
