Okay, I don't leave many bad reviews, but once in a while a product I use all the time just really disappoints me. I deal with electrical all the time. The problem with this iron, which is an engineering problem with fast-heat irons and soft metals, in order to heat the element quickly the element must be a very low-density metal. This way, it heats up quickly, in under 20 seconds. However, the problem with this is that every time one heats and cools a metal it stresses the structure leading to cracking. Long story short after maybe 15-20 heat and cool cycles the element develops a crack and becomes completely useless I've been through maybe six elements. So, I thought if I just bought like four elements, that would be enough for a couple months. Not even close, after less than 20 heat and cool cycles (think 20 wires soldered, the element cracks and is garbage.) I use another one that is higher wattage and a different brand, that one lasted a lot longer, think months but even it...Read more
