Pinnacle Studio 19 Ultimate (Old Version) (CD-ROM)

If you're looking for a serious video editor, you will be disappointed in this version of Pinnacle Studio. I bought it because of the multi-cam feature. I've found that multi-camera editing works very well. It's so easy to use that I didn't even need to read the guide. However, the basic problem I've found is the audio/video sync is a complete deal breaker. Having been a professional video editor for over 10 years in the television industry, I was hopeful with this product because it does do a good job transcoding HD to SD video - better than the $1000 editor I regularly use. It offers a better picture. However, when importing HD 1080 MP4 video and doing even the most basic editing, the end result is video that is out of sync with the audio, no matter what output format I try. Last night I imported a concert recorded in MPEG2 HD at a bit rate of 80mg. This software wouldn't even recognize the audio. Pinnacle Studio 19 UltimateWhat a disappointment! This program used to be the absolute best bargain with the most power and features for the money.But now they decided to only allow it to be installed on your boot drive.So they obviously don't understand that a modern computer has an SSD (Solid State Drive) as the C: drive and this makes the system operate much faster, especially since windows likes to shuttle inactive OS, Program and Screen info. to a drive temp buffer on the C: drive to increase the availability of system ram for active applications. Since Pinnacle new method uses the install location to store temp video segments for rendered effects it is reducing the life of your SSD. (although SSDs have a high read/write threshold, there is still a limit to the number of times you can write to any memory location.
