I expected the performance of my 2008 iMac to improve by upgrading from 2GB to 4GB but I didn't expect such a dramatic and noticeable difference as what I experienced. Wow. Great investment. Programs launch with minimal delay (nearly instantly) now where I would get at least 2 or 3 icon bounces and significant delay before launch before the upgrade. Thinking about installing a SSD next! With just the RAM upgrade, I just added a couple of years onto the usable lifecycle of this 4 year old machine.
