This is a very useful chart. It may be used in the appropriate GPS and/or your PC with Garmin Homeport software. The primary advantage of this chart vs the stock chart in my GPS include, 1) it enables my GPS to automatically create a route from where I am to a waypoint I pick on the chart based upon the min depth and clearance requirements for my boat, 2)it provides photos of various points of interest including marinas, which is very helpful if you're new to the area.It's important to be aware that Garmin updates this chart twice each year, approx. Feb and Aug. If purchased new, you receive one free chart update. After that it costs $120/update.Garmin Tech Help informed me that most users don't update their map every 6 months, instead many update their charts every few years, or after a significant storm that may cause the bottom features to change in their boating area.
