I am on my 4th dash cam as a truck driver. Started with a go pro (lasted 3 months and broke). Then I tried 2 cheap chinese dash cams. Both worked well but only lasted about 6 months each. This dash cam has the best and most clear picture of all. I can easily read license plates and at night everything the light touches, including headlights, can be seen well. The camera records GPS data accurately and displays coordinates at the bottom of the video as well as date, time, and speed.
DOWNLOAD the free software for this cam at Garmin's web site. It shows even more data along with the video such as a map of where you are located and real time G-force data! It also works on mac. Although, if you want to edit videos with IMovie on mac youll need to convert the .AVI files to MP4 or another compatible format. I use a free program called Handbrake to convert the files and that works perfectly. Get this cam and you won't regret it!
