Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker Soft Cover (Gray)Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker Soft Cover (Gray) available on July 31 2018 from Amazon for 9.99
As with many others, I purchased the soft cover because of the fear of damaging the aluminum case on my Soundlink Mini. They are very well made, fit great, and allow access to all of the controls on the unit. The fit is very snug, to the point where it's almost difficult to get on until you figure out the technique.
This said, WHY--oh WHY did Bose opt to ONLY sell them in bright colors? I'm a 30something guy, I don't particularly want bright neon colors on my speaker. The unit itself is stylish, muted, and blends in with decor in your house..these cases make it clash horribly and stick out like a sore thumb. On top of this, it just puts a big bulls-eye on it for thieves when I take it to the beach. I totally understand that there are some people who might want these bright colors, but why not at least offer one option that is gray or black for the rest of us?
Purchased this about 10 months ago. Looked fine when I bought it but unfortunately this product has now discolored (please refer to the pictures I have attached.) The clear part now has a slight yellow tint and no longer complements the Mini. I started to notice the discoloration about six months after I purchased it. I keep the SoundLink Mini on a table in my bedroom. The table does get sunlight throughout the day but the sun isn't beating down on the speaker. Regardless, a good quality product should be able to withstand discoloration. For the price and the Bose name, this is unacceptable. The soft cover might be useful if you tend to be rough with your equipment but if you are careful with your stuff then you don't need a cover which will add more bulk to an already sleek product. The Mini looks more attractive without the cover to begin with so I don't plan on buying another one to replace this. I have the carrying case as well and I think I will stick with that...Read more if (typeof amznJQ != "undefined") { amznJQ.onReady('jQuery', function() { amznJQ.available('popover', function() { var widgetDom = jQuery("#R96TGUV1SOO7M_imageSection_22C740B4-3BD9-11E7-8956-27567FF467DC"); var images = widgetDom.find(".review-image-thumbnail"); for (var c=0;c
