I replaced my factory original 4x10s in my 1986 Pontiac Fiero with these. They are obviously not a drop-in replacement. They required a custom-made mounting plate and some permanent modifications to the dash for them to fit. I'm very happy with their performance.
The only negative thing about these is the little control box that splits the signal into the two separate drivers. The way it is designed, you have to thread the wires through the lid and then connect them to the lugs. Then with the lid hanging on the wires which are attached to the base plate, you have to try to mount the box out of sight somewhere with two screws that go through the base plate of the box. Then you can snap the lid onto the box but if you ever have to remove it for any reason, you will likely damage the lid because you won't be able to access the latching tabs which are only accessable from the rear (mounted) side of the box! I wish I had double-sided taped mine in place.
