I read the book at age 15. It came with a glossary for the slang. I memorized the glossary lol. I saw the film many years later and this is my 2nd viewing. As with most genuine classics the book is better and should be read 1st. However the film is great and matches the book very closely. At the time I read it I interpreted the book as futuristic. I had never heard of "Aversion Therapy" at 15. Later this "Therapy" was in wide use for smoking and other addictions. Or at least in Los Angeles it was ;) If you like macabre humor, social psychology and some feeling for vengeance, personal or societal this one is for you.
