But still that's just one of the great songs on this soundtrack. You have Patti LaBelle stiring it up, and with "New Attitude". We have Harold Faltermeyer with his famous "Axel F", the best instrumental track I've ever heard. I also like Glen Frey's "The Heat Is On", I just love the lyrics to that song. I can't think of too many movies that have better soundtracks than this

The next summer for my 8th birthday I got the Soundtrack at a party for me at Chuck E. Cheese's! Man was I happy. Now, 20 years later I'm buying the Soudtrack on CD. It's a pretty good Soundtrack. The Patti LaBelle songs are good, and I'm a big Glenn Frey fan, although "The Heat Is On" is no Eagles. The only downfall is the omission of the song "Nasty Girl" by Prince protege Vanity 6. Oh well, it's still a pretty good soundtrack. For me the Soundtrack brings back memories of my youth. A very impressionable movie for a 7 year old, and the music made an impression too. | 12 | |

Neutron Dance by Pointer Sisters. Fantastic piece of electro-pop used in the truck chase at the beginning of the movie.2. New Attitude & Stir It Up by Patti LaBelle. These songs are probably Patti's finest work.3. The Heat Is On by Glenn Frey - fantastic sax solo and infectious chorus makes this song one of the best from the 80s.4. Rock and Roll Me Again by The System. Remember the System? (Don't Disturb This Groove) This song wasn't in the movie but it's still a good catchy pop tune.The only reason this soundtrack doesn't get 5 stars from me is because it's missing "Nasty Girl" by Vanity 6. However, it remains just as good without it.
