 | Author: DY - See all my reviews | I think that this format is better for backpacking through/over big areas or big cities when you have limited time. If you are going to either Napa or Sonoma, there would seem to be a lot of other, better ways to educate one's self on where to go and what to do. However, this might be really useful for someone living in San Francisco that is not acquainted with the area and is just going to go up for a weekend, or something like that. | 3 |
 | Author: FabrÃcio - See all my .. | I have just spent 6 days driving in the Wine Country and this book provided all the information I needed. It is very handy and pleasant to read. The book is oriented towards tour ideas and recommendations, which help you make the most of your schedule. This adds a lot more value compared to just listing recommended places to go. You needn't follow them to the letter, they are sensible ground from which to build your trip. Moreover, the book also provides an extensive index of the wineries, each with its own full paragraph of decription and all the practical information you might need.Despite being dedicated to the Napa & Sonoma valleys, there's a rather usable 30-page coverage of San Francisco, also with tour recommendations, that suits quite well for those, like me, with spare days in the big city after flying in or before flying out. This is the most up-to-date guidebook in Napa & Sonoma as of the moment I write this. Thumbs up for... | 4 |
