The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Original Soundtrack
I don't get why this is 174 and why people are paying that when you can get the same set SIGNED BY SOULE at directsong for 29.99Am I missing something here?

I echo what Wanderer said so eloquently. In a way, you get so much more out of this soundtrack if you've played the previous games, because parts of the Skyrim soundtrack are like an old friend coming back to you (pieces from Morrowind). Having waited for 5 years for a new installment of The Elder Scrolls series, when you first listen to the beauty and triumph of this soundtrack it brings you to tears, like an old friend returning home, except it's a grand celebration of the past, present and future. It's all of these things rolled into one. Make no mistake, this IS a masterpiece, enhanced by experiencing it how it was meant to be experienced, by playing Skyrim. I now have close to 300 hours in Skyrim, I've seen just about everything there is to see, done just about everything there is to do, but the haunting and beautiful soundtrack Jeremy created always draws me back, like home, like an old friend. This is an unbelievable work from one of the greatest game composers of all time, Jeremy Soule. From Morrowind to Oblivion and now Skyrim, there is a tremendous maturity of Jeremy's skills and talent. As we progress through the Elder Scrolls series of orchestral sounds we see Jeremy sequentially out-doing himself. Just when the adventurous melody of Morrowind beckons you forward and crystallizes the extant visual atmosphere, the proud and epic music of Oblivion manages to just out-do its predecessor. In the same vein, Skyrim yet outshines Oblivion with its deep, ethereal, haunting and absolutely beautiful score.It is difficult to properly quantify Jeremy's masterful work in this piece. His style has changed and is more subtle than Morrowind or Oblivion, yet it somehow manages to be even stronger, more engaging and more epic.
