I have to rate this album of on of my favorites of 2013. that said, I was around when machine head came out and except for smoke, I was too young to really appreciate the rest of the album. it's an easy listen, start to finish. I suppose it's easier to be yourself when you helped define a genre as DP does here. I realize that some may say that there are missing key original members, but that only makes the story better as the core sound still exists and proves that this BAND is deserving of their roll in rock, and not a sole member dragging the rest of the band forward. a fresh representation of the great genre... ROCK
