I go camping all the time and this is a way better alternative to leaving a trash bag on the ground or tied to a table. At night I tuck in the edges of the bag and zip it closed so no critters get inside.
It's also great for camping areas that do not have the metal bins to throw your bags away. I throw this in the bed of my truck with the full bags inside and drive away without a worry that the bags will leak before I get home.
FYI you need the large trash bags for this (30 Gallon?). The first time I used it I brought regular kitchen trash bags and they weren't wide enough to fit over the edges.
