Among my testing group of Jr High to College Students, the majority seem to prefer the open sack, while day campers and campers and businessmen seem to prefer the compartment zippered.This style is the open sack. The material presents itself as a thick cotton canvas, with lining and has the build quality for good durability. Empty, it weighs 1.80lbs.
