APPEARANCEThis is a handsome backpack. It has nice clean lines. Has no extraneous parts or external compartments. It is very professional looking. Wears very well with a sport coat and casual slacks.The material and construction make this backpack look it it costs more than it does from Amazon. As a matter of fact, I could not find one that looks this good and makes me comfortable about placing an expensive laptop into and lugging it around the campus where I work.QUALITYThe material is nice and sturdy. The stitching is neat--both inside and out--no fraying, etc. The stitches are doubled and the shoulder straps incorporate reinforcing design where most backpacks fail from heavy loads (near the bottom corners).FUNCTIONALITYFits my 17.3 inch Toshiba Qosmio (7.6 lbs) with just the perfect amount of space left over for the Qosmio's unusually large power brick (1.9 lbs).
