Two nights I didn't have it out and they dug around my yard looking for grubs. If it is out that doesn't happen and they haven't stolen any more tomatoes. So, it works and seems to work well.My complaint and the ONLY reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is that the on and off switch and all adjustments and batteries are inside the back cover which is a soft type plastic that fits over the housing. In order to mount this on a wall one has to mount with the holes in the back cover. PROBLEM is the back cover does not go back on the unit tightly. It is really difficult to get it on even half way and not enough to hang it off a wall. So if I want to turn the unit off and on (which I would like to do to save batteries during the day) I would have to fight that back cover.I was ready to return both units I bought but due to the fact that it works so well I have managed to sit it on a box and get the cover on...
