When this finally arrived (a bit longer than 3 weeks delivery) I anxiously opened it up wondering if it would still fit our now 4 month old (and rapidly growing) baby. It came in an envelope with a plastic envelope inside of it and nothing else. The yarn is a low quality thick acrylic yarn similar to what most people use to begin learning to knit or crochet. It is scratchy to the touch and has a fine haze of fibers around it.The crown itself is well shaped but you can see where the join is between the start and finish. I was surprised that is was also quite large and is too big for our baby to wear yet! I think it should fit in a month or two- so if you are ordering for a newborn be advised about both the delivery and the sizing. So, while I like it overall, it is not what I was expecting in either quality of yarn or in size but as that works out in our benefit in this one instance I cannot complain too much.
