I was offered this socket at a discount in exchange for an unbiased review and it looked like a unique item so I was excited to try it out.My first reaction was the it's heavy. Heavier than my other deep sockets that I use for wheel lugs. I also like the color-coded end on it. I don't need my tools to be pretty, but it seems like it will be convenient to be able to just grab this from my drawer of sockets that, otherwise, look the same.I decided to test this out on the lugs on my race car since I don't really care if the rims get scuffed up and, just as advertised, the socket didn't leave a mark. I even took it off of my torque wrench and lightly banged it against my rim and couldn't see any marks.I did noticed that the colored coating extends into the inside of the socket and started to wear off a bit after one use, so I expect that to flake off pretty quickly.If this one holds up well, I may get some of the other sizes for my other...Read more

My husband is the one that takes care of all our mechanical needs and when I handed him this non-marring socket, he was impressed with the quality of it. It's a substantial weight and is made with impressive quality material. Of course, being a man that just got a new toy, he had to test out the non-marring claim and went to work on his new rims. He used his fancy zippy gun to take all the lug nuts off his vehicle, rotated his tires, and got them all put back on. Not a single scratch on his rims. His exact words were "this thing is freakin awesome!". Safe to say, this will be one of his staple tools when he's doing tire stuff. Was pretty thick.
