This fuses are rated 200 amp. I installed for my inverter. The current was constantly monitored. At the first, no current at all, the inverter can't turn on. It took me several min to find out the fuse itself is not conducting. both of them had the same problem. I found out by sanding the contact plates, they became conductible. I might have been coated with some transparent material to make it look better, or by mistake. I inserted one of them to the fuse holder, the inverter turns on and works. I was happy like everyone else, except this minor issue. The problem showed up when I load testing my inverter. At 50 amp, it handles well without problem. When the current increased to 85 amp, I smell burning plastic. The fuse was very hot, turned brown, and the case melted and deformed, but did not blow. I removed the fuse, and inserted another, this time, I increased current slower. 45-50 amp, no problem, 65 amp, it became hot, at 75 amp, it became really hot, through the...Read more
