 | | Been an AutoCAD user since ver. 12 DOS and my last purchase was 2010 LT. And it will be my last purchase. Every year Autodesk keeps raising the price of the upgrade. Used to be about $250 for an upgrade license and now it's closer to $600. Bought a fully licensed pro version of IntelliCAD with 3D capabilities two months ago on sale for only $240 (normally $300) and it reads and writes the DWG format. Upgrades are $100. | 3 |
 | | Nothing on the box, nor the Amazon site says you MUST have 2009 version or newer to use this "upgrade". I explained it to Autocad, they say tough. Then I went to their web site, and you can buy a new full 2012 LT version with a $200 discount, and get a $200 rebate for versions including ours. Making the total cost the same. Yet the answer was tough. Pick a different company for your needs. It sure does not make sense to me to piss off a growing manufacturing and design company over a "policy" | 3 |
