 | Author: Tanya E. Scott (San Dieg.. | I bought this primarily because I figured I could not go wrong at the price it was offered at. Amazon is selling this set for far cheaper than anyone else online. I was really very pleased when this product arrived today. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Mother and she is going to be blown away. The tea pot is large, not overly, but it is certainly not a dainty piece. The cream and sugar pieces are lovely. Very high quality detailing, the gold is not gawdy. Comes very very well packaged. I am glad I bought some other pieces to match on a whim, hoping that the tea set would be beautiful. I received the matching tea cups and coffee pot. Also beautiful though the coffee pot did not come in its own packing box (it did arrive intact). If you are looking for a lovely piece of china that is proud to display but usable for company, I highly recommend this set. | 2 |
 | Author: Carolyn E. Monroe (Tulsa.. | The exact same set is available from Dillards here in Tulsa and the price is over $200 just for the teapot. I bought it for my mother who has been wanting it since the 80's. I gave it to her for Christmas and she cried. It's got the original 1962 Royal Albert stamp on each piece. Comes brand new in royal albert boxes. It is the fine style of China not the version that is machine made in China. I bought her some of that too. She noticed the difference right away. The other items do not have the 1962 stamp and are pretty, but not the same. The tea set was a hit. We love it. | 11 |
